Esther L. Taylor, 91, of Topeka, went home to be with her Lord on October 10, 2006.
She was born May 30, 1915 in Sioux Falls, SD., the daughter of Grant and Matilda Martin.
Esther would like to be remembered as a child of God, a loving wife and mother who was blessed with 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 24 grandchildren. She was also blessed with a sweet spirit from God.
She married Edward B. Taylor on November 1, 1933 in Bert, IA. He preceded her in death in July, 1997. She was also preceded in death by a brother and a great grandchild.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Marian Liby, Topeka, and Eleanor Wynn, Bullhead City, AZ; three sons, Edward, Detroit, MI, Johnny, AZ, and Dean Taylor, KauKauna, WI.
Mrs. Taylor will lie in state after 1:00 pm, Friday, Oct. 13 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:00 pm that evening. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Western Hills Baptist Church, 2900 SW. Auburn Rd, Topeka, KS 66614.
