Esther P. Harrold

Esther P. Harrold, 96, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born on February 6, 1913 in Topeka, the daughter of James E. and Maggie Randol O'Dell. She had resided in Topeka for most of her life. Esther was a homemaker. She was a member of First Assembly Of God Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and Bible School Teacher. Esther married Ralph B. Harrold on March 13, 1931 in Topeka. He preceded her in death in May of 1990. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley (Keith) Woodyard of Topeka, three grandchildren, Ricci (Becky), Rodney, Robbin (Debbie), four great-grandchildren, Aaric, Cole, Holli and Hayley and one sister, Eleanor Boots of Lakewood, CA. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at First Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Esther will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to First Assembly Of God Church, 500 SW 27th St., Topeka, KS 66611 or Midland Hospice Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
