Emmett Everett Harder, 92, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, formerly of Topeka, died Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born on December 23, 1914 in Fredonia, Kansas, son of Roy E and Ruby Clary Harder.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II with Army Transportation Corps in the European Theater of Operations. He retired from The Fleming Company in 1982. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Topeka, Kansas. He was a 50 year member of the Orient Lodge #51, A.F. & A.M..
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Inez Van Dalsem of Fairview, Kansas.
Survivors include, two daughters, Judy Carr of Lakeridge, Virginia, Rosalyn Moser and Glenn Moser of Bella Vista, Arkansas, three grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one brother, Harold Harder of Paradise, California.
Mr. Harder was cremated. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00a.m Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the funeral home. Private inurnment will take place in Penwell Gabel Cemetery, Topeka, Kansas.
