Emma K. Harrison, 89, Topeka died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004 at Lexington Park.
She was born Aug. 4, 1915 in Maple Hill, KS the daughter of Robert E. and Claude Brock Perry.
She moved to Topeka as a young child.
She married Charles C. Harrison on Feb. 2, 1931 in Topeka. He died Feb. 19, 1983.
Emma was also preced in death by a daughter; Martha Moser Ehrich, Feb. 14, 1983 and a son; Charles R. Harrison, July 16, 2000.
She is survived by a daughter; Nadine Sheafor of Ft. Collins, CO, a sister Beaulah Hamel of Council Grove, KS; 2 brothers Max Perry of Fairway, KS and Paul Perry of Dragoon, AZ; 11 Grandchildren and fourteen Great Grandchildren.
Emma was a lifelong member of Grace Episcopal Cathedral where she was active in the Altar Guild, Daughters of the King, Fellowship and Benedictine Study.
She also volunteered with the American Red Cross as a Grey Lady at both Winter General Hospital and the VA Hospital for 35 years. She served many years with the Christmas Bureau, Meals on Wheels, Lets Help and the Topeka Library.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2004 at Grace Episcopal Cathedral. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Harrison will lie in state after 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p..m.
