akarusaEmily Renee Edgar, 10, Wakarusa, whose nature was always to please is now one of God's little helpers. She passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2003, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.

Emily was born August 20, 1993, in Topeka, the daughter of John B. and Lauree F. Vaughn Edgar.

She was a 4th grade student at Auburn Elementary School. She attended Wakarusa Presbyterian Church. Emily enjoyed playing soccer and reading.

She was preceded in death by her father John B. Edgar in 1995.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2003, at the Presbyterian Church in Wakarusa. Burial will take place in the Shawnee Center Cemetery near Wakarusa. Emily will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2003, at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel with a visitation from 7-8:00 p.m. Friday.

The Emily Edgar Memorial Fund may be given to the Auburn-Washburn Schools for future reading materials.
