Elwanda Mae Smith

Elwanda Mae Smith, 93, of Seattle, WA and formerly of Topeka, died in the home of her daughter in Seattle on Saturday, August 8, 2015.
She spent over 20 years in Topeka and enjoyed her last years in Seattle living with her daughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Fred Latto, and her husband, Walter P. Smith.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathryn Smith of Seattle, WA; her son, Larry (Cynthia) Smith of Topeka; her sister, Mona Markle of Independence, MO; grandsons, Eric of Rio Rancho, NM and Nathan (Maureen) of Springfield, VA and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15 at the Mount Hope Chapel, 4700 SW 17th St; burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends on the day of the service at the Mount Hope Chapel for a light reception after the burial.
