Elva Schrader McMahan, Topeka, died November 15, 2004.
She was born October 8, 1914 in Bloomington, Kansas, the daughter of Alfred and Rosetta Schrader. She graduated from Highland Park High School. Employers included Victory Life and Kane Insurance companies and a Topeka funeral home. She and her husband also farmed.
She married Norman McMahan on August 3, 1935 in Olathe, Kansas. Survivors include two sons, Lee and wife Ane, Lanny and wife Julie both of Topeka; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd Schrader; and four sisters, Arline Jevons, Phyllis Kekar, Lois Burgess and Vera Rhodehouse.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, her husband, and a sister, Mildred Newman.
Burial was in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life memorial service at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. 2021 SW 29th, Topeka, KS. The service will be Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at 11:00am.
