Elsie Jean White-Borjas, 70, of Topeka, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016.
She was born June 15, 1946 in Hamilton, KS, the daughter of Darwin and Nettie Clark.
Elsie graduated from Hamilton High School in 1964. She spent most of her adult life in Chanute, working for Young's Welding and Zimmerman Electric as an office manager. After retiring, she devoted much of her time with her beloved pugs and her grandchildren.
She married Roger White in 1964. They divorced. She later married Joseph Borjas in 1992. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Melissa Wasson of Orlando, FL and Jennifer Typer of Topeka; a son, Gannon White of Little Rock, AR; three step-daughters, Carla Borjas, Lisa Adams and Jackie Borjas; a step-son, Joseph Borjas, Jr.; 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three grandchildren and all of her siblings.
Elsie will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, Friday, January 6, 2017 at St. David's Episcopal Church, 3916 SW. 17th St., Topeka, KS 66604. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm with burial to follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
