Elsie Lindburg, 94, of Topeka passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 at McCrite Plaza.
She was born May 5, 1914, in Vassar, KS, the daughter of Albert and Mary Coxen.
She married Richard A. Lindburg on October 26, 1933 in Emporia. He preceded her in death. They moved to Topeka in 1941.
Elsie loved to grow houseplants, embroider and cook.
Surviving are her four children: Elsie Jean Hackathorn (Kenneth), Nancy Moore, Dorothy Lee Rowley and Richard D. Lindburg (Cheryl) all of Topeka. Other include 14 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Elsie will lie in state Wednesday, March 4, 2009 from 1:00 – 9:00 p.m. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 5 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made out to Midland Hospice 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
