Elsie Hundley

Elsie L. Hundley, 79, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Brewster Place in Topeka, Kansas.

Elsie was born in Fairview, Kansas on April 10, 1928, the daughter of Joseph and Irene Meyer.

Elsie lived and worked in Hiawatha, Kansas after graduating high school.

She met Dewey Hundley in 1946 and married in September 1948. Elsie and Dewey moved to Topeka, Kansas where they raised two boys, Kim and Breck and spent the rest of their lives.

Dewey died in December of 1991.

Elsie worked in banks for 20 years and then became employed at Sante Fe railroad in Topeka where she retired 18 years later.

Survivors include two sons, Kim Hundley, St. Louis, Missouri and Breck Hundley, Lawrence, Kansas, two sister's JoAnn Fiegenbaum, Topeka, Kansas and Doris Wharton, San Antonio, Texas and four grandchildren, Brandon, Ashlee, Colby and Kyle.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Private interment will be at Topeka Cemetery. Elsie will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Friday, April 11 at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 PM.
