Elmer Gunckle
Elmer Marvin Gunckle, 86, Topeka, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at a local care center.
Elmer was born October 14, 1919 in Randolph.
He served in the U. S. Air Force, and retired in 1974 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He later worked for the University of Kansas at Templin Hall, retiring in 1984.
Elmer married Carol A. Johnson in 1943. She survives. Other survivors include a son: Robert M. Gunckle, Meriden; two daughters, Dianna Randolph, Savannah,GA, and Judy Johnson, Topeka; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Gunckle.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at McCrite Plaza Retirement Center Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 837 S. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67211.
