Elma Catherine Sumner

Elma Catherine "Kaye" Sumner was born on April 4, 1926 to James and Grace Burton in Elmwood, Nebraska.
She was the third of five children and the last to go to be with the Lord.
She was married on June 1, 1945 to Doyle Sumner who remained her faithful partner and love of her life until his passing on January 13, 2005.
Kaye is survived by her son Ronald (Julie) Sumner of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and a daughter Rebecca (late Clint) Perry of Norwood Colorado. She was blessed to have 8 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren whom she enjoyed tremendously. She was very special to many of her nieces and nephews and adored by her entire family.
She was a faithful member of Westside Christian church in Topeka for over 70 years and had many dear friends there. Kaye was also a 30 plus year employee of the Kansas State Highway Department.
A Celebration of her Life will be at 11:00 a.m. on July 2, 2022 at Westside Christian Church in Topeka, Kansas.
