Elizabeth M. "Beth" Davis, 89, Topeka, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016.
She was born November 5, 1926, in Havensville, Kansas, youngest child of Arthur and Effie (Kroth) Venneberg. She was a 1944 graduate of Havensville High School. On November 19, 1948, in Topeka, Elizabeth married Gayle R. Davis. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2006.
Elizabeth was a member of Bucks Grove United Methodist Church and later Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Topeka.
Survivors include son, Dan C. (Mary Jo) Davis; daughter, JoAnn Grindler; brother, Clyde Venneberg; sisters, Mildred Wind and Mary Fletchall; grandchildren, Amanda (Eric) Stone and Brenda (John) Malloy; great-grandchildren, Ace and Adia Stone, Gannon and Eleanor Malloy; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Lowell, Claude, and Lloyd Venneberg.
Elizabeth was cremated. A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m., with words of comfort from Pastor Dean Lashley, at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2016, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66604. Memorial service and inurnment will be on May 29, 2016, at Bucks Grove United Methodist Church, following the regular Sunday service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bucks Grove United Methodist Church c/o Joyce Immenschuh, 704 W. 1st, Holton, Kansas 66436.
