Elizabeth Joy Childers

Elizabeth Joy (Rudolph) Childers, 88, Topeka, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Rolling Hills Health Center.
She was born on January 11, 1925 in Gridley, Kansas to Chester Ansil and Alta Isabel (Myers) Rudolph.
Elizabeth was a member Southwest Baptist Church. On May 8, 1943 she married Clifford Frederick Childers in LeRoy, Kansas. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1999.
She is survived by her children, Clifford E. (Linda Kay) Childers, Wayne Childers, Howard (Debbi) Childers, Linda Isabel Childers, Hildred (Tony) Beccera, Roger Childers and Ronald Childers; three sisters, Roberta Thomson, Joan White, Nadine (Caroll) Leatherman, 25 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three siblings, Lois (Edlee) McNabb, Dorothy (Bill) Snovelle and Daryl (Kathy) Rudolph.
Memorial services will be 10 am, Friday, September 13 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Inurnment will follow in the Keene Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
