Elenora Blanden, 97, of Topeka, was called home on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
She was born May 13, 1921, in Centerville , Kansas, the daughter of George and Cora (Husted) Martin. She graduated from Greeley High School in 1940.
Elenora was a secretary for Carpenter Paper and Otterbien UMC. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, KCQG and Santa Fe retirees.
She loved to quilt, write poems, read and play cards. She enjoyed bible study and being a deacon at Central Presbyterian Church. Most important to Elenora was time spent with family.
Elenora married Carroll G. Blanden on April 20, 1942 in Las Vegas, NV. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1993.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon K. (Lawrence) Lantis, Topeka; granddaughter, Lori D. (Robert) Tripp, Topeka; son-in-law, Ronald R. Lenois; grandsons, Ronald R. (Edie) Lenois, Jr., Darren M.(Katie) Lenois, Massachusetts; grandson-in-law, Doug E. Klise, Topeka; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Linda E. Lenois; granddaughter, Gena K. Klise and her 12 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Central Presbyterian Church, 920 SW Huntoon, Topeka, with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery immediately following service.
