Eleanor Nadine Murphy, 84, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at Golden Keys Nursing Home in Neodesha, Kansas.
Mrs. Murphy was born March 6, 1921 in Nickerson, the daughter of Harry A. and Anna May Murray Thompson.
She graduated from the Coldwater High School and graduated from the Grace Hospital School of Nursing in Hutchinson in 1944 as a Registered Nurse.
She married Murel A. Murphy on January 30, 1944 in Hutchinson. He died February 18, 1993
They lived in Manhattan for 20 years and she worked at Mercy Hospital. In 1964 they moved to Topeka and she was employed at Brewster Place for the next 21 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Hood, Coffeyville and a son Stan Murphy, Topeka. 5 grandchildren and a sister, Joann Meyers, Colorado. She was preceded in death by a son, Dale Murphy in 2004.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. with entombment in Mount Hope Mausoleum.
