Elba Alice Mathers

Elba Alice (Dunn) Mathers, 97, of Topeka, passed away, Thursday, December 9, 2010 at McCrite Plaza, Topeka, Kansas with Grace Hospice in attendance.
She was born August 26, 1913 in Harris, Kansas the daughter of Walter and May (Jones) Dunn.
Mrs. Mathers worked as a medical assistant for Dr. B.J. Ashley over 25 years.
She married C. G. Mathers January 10, 1928 at Ottawa, KS. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Donna Lou Jungmann. Survivors include her son Donald E. (Becky) Mathers, Topeka, KS; her daughter Mary Faye (Marvin) Vaughn, Topeka, KS; eight grandchildren Bret, Brian, Barrie, Becky, Carrie, Scott, Jeff and Vikki; nine great grand children Grant, Isabella, Emma, Wyatt, Jessica, Baily, Aleigh, Baker and Sam and two great-great grandchildren Lance and Lexi.
Cremation is planned. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday December 12, 2010 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. A private inurnment ceremony will be held at the Olathe Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Grace Hospice, 3715 S.W. 29th St., Suite 100, Topeka, KS 66614.
