Elaine Dibble, 79, Topeka, died Sunday, February 22, 2009 at a local hospital.
Elaine was born November 1, 1929 in Ellis County, Kansas, the daughter of William J. and Eunice Bell (Thurston) Anglin. She grew up in Ellsworth, graduated from Ellsworth High School and the Jane C. Stormont School of Nursing in Topeka.
She worked as a nurse in St. Louis, MO, Sun Valley, ID, and at Stormont-Vail Hospital.
She was involved with Junior League, Girl Scouting, and Topeka Civic Theatre.
She married Stephen W. Dibble on May 21, 1957 in Topeka. He died October 28, 2004.
Survivors include sons, Stanley S. Dibble, Lenexa, Lance A. Dibble, Vancouver, WA; daughter, Julie D. Woodland, Maple Hill; and three grandchildren, Mason D. Woodland, Jake W. Woodland and Colby C. Woodland.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel. Inurnment will be in the Mount Hope Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Road, Topeka, Kansas 66617 or Let's Help, Inc. 302 SW Van Buren, Topeka, Kansas 66603.
