Edythe Bentz Gleason, Age 90, passed away April 12, 2003 at a Topeka Care Facility. She was born November 4, 1912 in Beloit, Kansas. The daughter of John and Sarah Elliott Slack. She graduated from Salina High in 1931 and Marymount College in Salina in 1934. She taught for many years at Potwin Elementary School in Topeka, KS. She was active in Westminister Presbyterian Church.
She was married to Abner Bentz in Salina, Ks and he died in 1965. She was later married to Cloise Gleason in Wichita, KS and he died in 2002. She is survived by-
one daughter Marilyn Ruggles in Lawrence, KS
one granddaughter, and one great grandson, and a niece
Private interment will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at Brewster Health Care Center, Fink Living Room at 2 P.M., Tuesday, April 15, 2003. Memorial contributions may be made to American Parkinson Disease Assosciation, PO Box 251, Topeka, KS, 66601. Penwell Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
