Edythe R. Crapson, 90, Topeka, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at Midland Hospice House.
Edythe was born November 27, 1915 in Hartford, Arkansas, the daughter of Garrett and Isabel Stewart Clayton, and worked as a Finance Clerk for the U.S. Army and the Civilian Conservation Corp.
Edythe was a member of West Side Christian Church and the Military Wives Auxilliary and the Women's Club of Topeka.
She married Herbert Crapson on June 18, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas. He died in 1981. Survivors include a step-son; Carmon L. Crapson, Albuquerque, New Mexico; two step-grandsons; and a nephew, C. Allen Hays, San Antonio, Texas. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Hays.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2006 at West Side Christian Church. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Mount Hope Cemetery.
