Edward R. Walters, Sr.

Edward "Eddie" R. Walters, Sr., 53, passed away on August 19, 2021 in Omaha, Nebraska.
He was born November 22, 1967 in Ottawa, Kansas to Floyd (Buck) Walters and Carol (Stevenson) Ward. Eddie completed school in Topeka, Ks and went on to become a certified welder of which he was very good at. He was married to Leanette Burns in 1989 and together they had two sons, Edward Jr. of Houston, TX and Eathon of Omaha, NE. They have remained good friends. He later married Xochitl Augosto in 1998 and together they had three sons, Jared of Indiana, Owen of Wichita, Kansas, and Joseph of Wichita, Kansas.
Eddie enjoyed working on computers, fishing, and cooking in his free time.
Other survivors include his mother, Carol; three sisters, Sandy (Jim) Goodyear, Geri Obenauer, and Linda (Terry) Essman; one brother, Floyd (Michele) Walters, Jr., numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his father and one sister, Tammy Correa.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Sandy Goodyear in care of Penwell Gabel funeral home to help the family pay for funeral expenses.
