Edward Arthur Richter, 83, Topeka, formerly of Alma, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Midland Hospice House.
Edward was born August 26, 1923 in Alma, the son of Martin P. and Ida (Welk) Richter. He was raised in Alma and graduated from Alma High School.
He retired from Goodyear and was a member of numerous church groups.
He married Norma Wohler on November 12, 1949 in Alma.
Survivors include a daughter, Debra Rundquist, Topeka; sons, Douglas P.Richter,Topeka, and Ryan E. Richter, Springfield, Missouri; and a brother, Charles Richter, Wichita. He was preceded in death by his wife; son, Kurt Richter; and sister, Agnes Schoonover.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2006 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Edward will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 3:00 p.m. on Sunday and visitation will be from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
