She worked as a secretary for the Topeka State Hospital from 1952 until 1959. She transferred to KNI when it began. She retired from KNI in 1979. She was an active member of West Side Christian Church. She was a charter member of the Kansas Rehabilitation Association. She was a member of the National Secretaries Association and was awarded Secretary of the Year.

Relatives: Married to: Roswell A. Seem on March 12, 1938 in Fredonia, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 20, 1999.
