Edith Faye Davison, 94, Frankfort, formally of Topeka, left this world Tuesday, August 26, 2014. She was born March 9, 1920, in Soldier, Kansas, the daughter of A.E. and Josie (Clouse) Morford.
She graduated from Emmett High School. On July 6, 1942 she married Virgil Davison. Born to this union were two sons and two daughters, Larry, Evan, Janet and Judith. Following Virgil's military service, the family moved to Oberlin, Kansas in 1946, Belvue, Kansas in 1948 and settled in Topeka, Kansas in 1957. Edith retired from Sears and company.
Edith enjoyed painting and word puzzles, as well as gospel and country music. She also enjoyed feeding and watering the birds, squirrels and various neighborhood animals.
Survivors include her four children, Larry V. Davison (Linda), Evan C. Davison (Peggy Shortridge), Janet E. Davison and Judith Tenpenny (Gary Waldow); two siblings, Louise Sedlachek and Rey Morford; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be 11am, Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 10th & Lane, Topeka. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
