Eddie was born in a rustic house in Rader, Missouri. He was the third child of Ed and Edna Davis, and had 5 sisters, all of whom still reside in the Midwest. The family later moved to Topeka, where Eddie graduated from Topeka High School. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1948 and served his country in the Korean conflict. Eddie married Joyce Probst, in California in 1952, and together they had three daughters. Elaine, Donna and Karen reside in California.
Eddie began his career in electronics manufacturing, and later worked at some of the first computer manufacturing companies in California. He was a Christian believer and was very active in the Lutheran churches the family attended. He also enjoyed golf and sailing.
Eddie moved back to Topeka in the early 1990's and resided in Topeka for the remaining years of his life. He is survived by three daughters, five grandchildren, and five sisters.
Cremation is planned. Mr. Davis' wishes were to have his ashes scattered at sea. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Salvation Army.
