Dylan J. Hook, 14, of Topeka and Silver Lake, passed away Tuesday, July, 12, 2016.
He was born February 14, 2002 in Topeka to Shannon Hook and Angela Bloom.
Dylan was a member of both the Seaman Middle School Band and Jazz Band. He excelled in scholastics and was a member of the Gold Honor Roll during middle school. Dylan also enjoyed playing tennis and was a member of the tennis team both years at middle school.
He was an avid reader, hunter and enjoyed video games. Dylan also had a true love for animals of every kind.
He is survived by his parents, father Shannon Hook (Michelle) of Silver Lake and mother Angie Bloom (Greg) of Topeka; 4 sisters; Katie, Rachel, Jamie and Miranda; two brothers, Jack and Conner; six grandparents, Bob and Diana Hook, Kenney and Lucy Patterson, Joyce Bloom and Sarah Bahner; aunts Angie Hook, Jamie (Matt) Payne, Ina (Howard) Brooks, Amy Bloom and one uncle, Mark Patterson; cousins Jordan, Jessica, Jackson, Eva, Cooper, Loretta, Amber, Kathryn, Brianna, Dawn, Dwight and Chance
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 20 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 S.W. 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 21 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 4525 NW Button Rd, Topeka, KS 66618, with burial to follow in Rochester Cemetery.
