Dwight Mclaughlin

Dwight McLaughlin, 56, Topeka, died Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center.
He was born January 5, 1954 in Cameron, Texas, the son of Loy A. and Elzeree Woods McLaughlin.
Dwight worked as Detail Manager for Lewis Toyota. He was the lead usher and a deacon at True Light Baptist Church.
He married Patricia Roberson on November 24, 1990 in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Mario Leal and Asa McLaughlin; two daughters, Nicole and LaReisha McLaughlin; seven sisters, Portia "Mae" Comer, Sheila Coleman, Georgia Shannon, Clara Shearon, Ruby Hughes, Bobbie Dudley, and Ethel Peterson; three brothers, Errol Loy McLaughlin, Loy A. McLaughlin,Jr. and Arlden Page; a grandson, Teryonte´ Hampton; an aunt, Freddie L. Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James Baker and a grandson, Travon Hampton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be in Topeka Cemetery.
Dwight will lie in state after noon Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.
