Duard Sturm Seals, Jr.,60, Topeka, died Sunday, June19, 2005 at the VA Medical Center.
He was born March 20, 1945 in Topeka, the son of Duard and Etta Seals.
Mr. Seals graduated from Silver Lake High School and attended Washburn University. He served in the Marine Corps during the Vietman War and was awarded the Purple Heart. He retired from the Postal Service, working the majority of his years at Gage Center. He was an avid golfer at Prairie View Country Club.
He married Ora "Rowena" Cawthon in 1965.
He was preceded in death by his father, Duard Seals Sr, a brother, Asa Seals, and a granddaughter, Cassidy Seals.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rowena, Topeka, a son, Kevin and his wife Shannon, Meriden; two daughters, Kim Kearney and her husband Shan, and Duarena House and her husband David, all of Topeka, his mother, Etta Seals, Topeka, two brothers, Dean and his wife Cidy,Leavenworth, and David and his wife Shirley, Topeka; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Dustin, Ashley, Branson, Mason, Taylor, Aaron, Ryley and Grace,
A memorial service will be held at the VA Medical Center Chapel, Bldg. #23, on Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 4:30 P.M.
