Duane Hamilton, 83, Topeka, passed away April 14, 2014. He was born November 29, 1930, in Topeka, the son of Boyd and Alice (Webber) Hamilton.
Mr. Hamilton was a graduate of Topeka High School. On January 1, 1955, in Topeka, he married Inez Gehrt. She survives. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. After serving his country, he worked for Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center. Mr. Hamilton was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Topeka.
Other survivors include a son, Richard Hamilton; and granddaughters, Heather Allard, Tracy Ireland, and Brenda Blackman. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Blackman.
Funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 901 SW Fillmore Street, Topeka, Kansas 66606. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church.
