Duane L. Guy, 84, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018.
He was born November 29, 1933, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Norman and Nellie (Owens) Guy.
Duane married Ruth Guy on July 9, 1955 in Geuda Springs, KS.
He attended Washburn University. Duane worked for the State of Kansas Industrial Safety and Health. He received "Safety Professionals of the year" American Society of Safety Engineers 187-88 Annual Safety Valve award 1996.
Duane enjoyed traveling and camping with his RV.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Guy, sons, Terry (Penny) Guy, Mark (Rhonda) Guy, Merle (Judy) Guy, Douglas (Beckey) Guy; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and a sister, Marilyn Buckley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a grandchild, Jennifer.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Berryton United Methodist Church, 7010 SE Berryton Rd. Berryton, KS 66409.
