Dr. William A. Langdon of Topeka passed away September 21, 2004. He was born August 25, 1934 at Rock Creek Kansas to Arthur R. Langdon and Margurete Dome Langdon. Dr. Langdon served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was also served in the Honor Guard in Washington D.C. He is survived by his wife Donna O'Neil Langdon two daughters Kelly Langdon Woods St. Louis, Mo. and Michele Langdon Heydon of Topeka.
Dr. Langdon is also survived by two sons Timothy and Matthew Langdon both of Topeka and seven grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by his sister Lovie Smith of Topeka and two brothers Jack Langdon of Oskaloosa and Jules Langdon of Horton. Dr. Langdon was a professor at Washburn University for 38 years. Dr. Langdon chaired the Modern Foreign Language Department for many years and was also Director of International Studies. Services will be held September 24, 2004 at First Presbyterian Church in Oskaloosa at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery. Dr. Langdon will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Midtown Chapel after noon Thursday and the family will receive friends and relatives from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.
