Dr. Paul B. Freeburg, Ph.D, 28, of Boston, MA., passed away unexpectedly at his home September 9, 2005.
He was born October 24, 1976 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Stan and Janelle M. Strong Freeburg.
He was a 1995 graduate of East High School. He graduated from Mid America Nazarene University in 1999. He then attended the University of Kansas Medical School where he earned his doctorate degree in cell biology research. He was currently a Fellow at the Harvard Children's Hospital in Boston doing kidney research. His passion and love of God was as intense as his passion for research.
Survivors include his parents, Stan and Janelle Freeburg, New London, MO; two brothers, Kent Freeburg and his wife Carrie of Overland Park, KS. and Darin Freeburg of New London, MO; grandmother, Leona Strong, New London, MO; Grandparents Reverend and Mrs, Brandt Freeburg, Britt, Iowa.
Dr. Freeburg will lie in state after 1:00 pm, Tuesday, September 13 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will greet friends from 7:00 to 8:00 pm that evening. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 10th and Buchanan, with burial to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Harvard Children's Hospital, sent in care of the funeral home.
