Dr. Joseph Beck
Dr. Joseph D. Beck of Topeka passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at his home.
Dr. Beck practiced as a Pediatrician in Topeka for 35 years.
Dr. Beck and his wife Hortense have been married almost 65 years.
He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Survivors include his wife Hortense; his daughter, Sarah Kirby (Fred); his brother, Dr. Calvin Beck (Jill); two grandsons, Frederick C. Kirby II (Lauren), Joseph B. Kirby; one great grandson, Frederick C. Kirby III; and his nieces and nephews, Julie Beck Earl; Dr. Calvin E. Beck Jr. and Joseph Beck.
Cremation is planned. The family will greet friends and old patients from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Private inurnment will be in Atwood, Kansas at a later date.
