Dr. Brenda J. Marney, 66, of Topeka, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018.
She was born September 15, 1952, in Welch, West Virginia, the daughter of Franklin and Annie (Toler) Brown. She received her Doctorate in Theology.
She was pastor of Arising Faith Worship Center. Brenda was a strong woman of God.
Brenda married Barry Marney on October 3, 1970 in Washington, DC.
Survivors include her husband, Barry Marney; son, Brian (Debra) Marney; daughter, Joei (Tim) Shane; grandchildren, Christian, Alex, Shea, Isaac, Nicholas, Julie; her church family; three sisters and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.
Family will greet friends Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave. Topeka.
A Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 am., Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Penwell-Gabel - Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Arising Faith Worship Center, 7630 SW 21st Street, Topeka, KS 66615.
