Douglas V. McKee, 46, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at his residence. He was born on June 28, 1958 in Topeka, the son of Jim and Marietta Staples McKee. He attended Topeka West High School. He was a member of the Community Church. He was employed by U.S.D. 501 for 12 years. He then was employed as a mental health worker at Menningers and S.A.R.P. He enjoyed spending time with his son, Dylan, fishing trips with is father, enjoyed reading books and had talent in art. He also enjoyed playing the guitar. He will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by his parents, his son, Dylan of Lansing, Ks., a brother, David and his wife Barbara of Topeka, nephews James and Chris McKee of Topeka, a niece Heather McKee Tinsley of Ft. Worth, two uncles, one aunt and five cousins. Cremation has taken place. Graveside inurnment service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Mount Hope Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
