Dorothy S. Rendell, 88, died Sunday, July 4, 2004 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.
She was born March 12, 1916 in Carbondale, Kan. to William and Mary Willis Rendell.
Dorothy moved from Carbondale to Topeka in 1941.
Dorothy graduated from Carbondale High School in 1934. She worked as a cashier at Haines Grocery and Pauline Food Center. She was a member of Central Park Christian Church of Topeka.
She is preceded in death by, her parents, her 2 Sisters: Ellen Meiers and Mary Ann Haines, and a Brother: Willis Rendell.
She is survived by her Nephew: Roy Haines, Nephew: Don Haines, Niece: Mary Jo Rumold, Niece: Betty Doss, Niece: Sharon Hansen, Nephew: John Meiers, Niece: Mary Louise Raney, Niece: Minnie Rose, Niece: Pat Pegram.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 10, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
Burial will be in Scranton Cemetery, Scranton, Kan.
Dorothy will lie in state from 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 9, 2004 until service time Saturday, July 10, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Funeral Home.
