Dorothy Nelson Ribordy "Noller", age 87, died March 23, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.
She was born September 21, 1920 in Topeka, Kansas to parents, Ernest and Dora King and grew up in Richland, Kansas.
She married Harry Nelson, September 7, 1940. He died August 8, 1977.
She owned and operated Holliday Square Beauty Salon from '56-'77. With a partner she owned Continental Beauty Academy and Beauty, Inc., for eight years.
She belonged to Most Pure Heart of Mary Woman's Club; Active Prime Timers; Salvation Army Auxiliary, and Shooting Stars Square Dancers.
She volunteered with Red Cross Respite Program; Discovery Shop for American Cancer; Salvation Army Auxiliary, and St. Francis Hospital.
Husband, George Ribordy, husband, Pete Heues and grandson, Thomas Nelson preceded her in death.
Survivors include, husband, Gerald "Jake" Noller, two daughters, Dorothy Jo (Paul) DeJoode of Topeka, and Toni (Paul) Beck of Ness City, Kansas, and son, Harry Alan (Barbara) Nelson of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; six step-children, Nona (Pat) Williams, Buddy Ribordy, Linda Smith, Penny (Gene) Stormann, Jackie (Andre) Nelson, and Steve (Virginia) Noller; eleven step-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Bagby and brothers, Myron King and Kenneth King.
Dorothy requested no funeral or memorial service. Visitation will be Monday, March 24 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Cremation is planned and inurnment will be private.
Memorials may be made to Most Pure Heart of Mary or to a charity of your choice.
