Dorothy L. Novak, 91, of Topeka, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023.
She was born May 31, 1931, in Randolph, Kansas, the daughter of Herbert and Blandina (Killman) Pfaff.
Dorothy worked for USD 501 Topeka Public Schools, retiring after over 40 years of service. She also worked for over 12 years at Atria Hearthstone.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Dorothy married Paul Eugene Novak on September 14, 1952 in Omaha, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Daniel Barney.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Barney and Connie Haid, both of Topeka; four grandchildren, Lewis Barney, Michael Barney, Jennifer (Kelly) Hall, and Christy Haid.
Dorothy enjoyed being outdoors and in her yard gardening, taking care of her home, and collecting various keepsakes.
Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Faith Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
