Dorothy M. Richardson, 91, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was born October 3, 1923, in Gridley, KS, to Mitchel and Ethel Osborn. She graduated from Gridley High School and attended Emporia State Teacher's College. In 1943 she traveled by train to Eureka, CA, where she married Dale Richardson on April 30th. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Dorothy loved to play bridge, playing up to 3 times per week. She was an active member of Crestview United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; sister, Monna Fae Bartlett; brother, Max Osborn.
Dorothy is survived by her four children, Dr. Gerald (Sandy) Richardson, James (Anita) Richardson, Nancy (Dr. Mark) Daniels, and David (Mary Lou) Richardson; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and great-granddog, Stella.
A memorial ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at the Crestview United Methodist Church, 2245 Eveningside Drive, Topeka, KS 66614.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crestview United Methodist Church.
