Dorothy E. Lemons "Dot", 52, of Topeka, lost her fight with Leukemia Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009.
She was born Dec. 16, 1956, in Topeka, the daughter of Jimmie and Thelma Justus.
Dorothy married Merlin Lemons July 12, 2008. He survives. Other survivors include her daughter, Mary Jean "Pinky" Lewis; two sons, John and Jarod McAferty; her siblings, Addie Frost, Allen Justus, Ray Justus, Mary Corbett, Darlene Justus; her grandchildren, Ceirra McAferty, David Lewis and Mike Perkins, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jimmie Wallace Justus.
Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be held at 12-Noon Sat. Aug. 22 at Victory Tabernacle, 2622 SE 6th St. followed by services at Kickstart Saloon. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
