Dorothy B. Gilman, 94, Topeka, passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 2004 at Lexington Park Nursing Center. She was born May 26, 1910 in Weston, Ohio, the daughter of Franklin G. and Nellie Baker Bair. She married Webster E. Gilman June 11, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan. Webster passed away Aug. 31, 2002. Dorothy lead a very creative and artistic life. She often applied her artistic talents for the benefit of various charities and orphanages. She was proud of the fact that her ancestry dates back to pre-Revolutionary America. Dorothy and her husband lived in Mexico for 27 years. They returned to the United States and moved to Topeka in 1994. She is survived by three daughters, Martha Chimitt, Wayne, PA; Suzanne Montano, Topeka; Linda Hartka-Reiss, Hudson, NY; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The family will have a private memorial service.
