Dorothy June Calys, 77, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021.
She was born November 3, 1943, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Glen and Elizabeth (Gregg) Saxbury.
Dorothy married Dr. Emanuel G. Calys on June 12, 1963 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include her sister, Marjorie A. Black, Topeka; sister-in-law, Esther Saxbury, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard Saxbury.
Dorothy was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and needle point.
Visitation will begin at 10am followed by funeral services at 11am on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
