Doris L. Hastings, 84, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2005 at a Topeka care facility.
She was born February 18, 1921 in Abbeyville, Kansas, the daughter of Benjamin and Flossie Holmes Farney.
She worked for Boeing Aircraft as a file clerk for 17 years before retiring and moving to Topeka in 1986. She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1986.
She married Ralph Hastings, September 1, 1940. He preceded her in death in November of 1978. She was also preceded in death by a son, R. Kenneth Hastings, three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Jo Golden, Topeka; two grandchildren, Donita Mishler, Topeka; and Nick Golden, of Springfield, MO; and three great grandchildren.
Memorial services and inurnment will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Greenwood Cemetery in Oatville, Kansas.
