Doris "Jeline" Foltz, 71, Topeka, KS. died Thursday, January 15, 2004 at her home. She was born on November 24, 1932 in Scranton, KS. The daughter of Bliss W. and Esther L. Green Jernigan. She married Eugene C. "Gene" Foltz on September 23, 1951 in Wakarusa, KS. Jeline graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1950. She attended Kansas State University. Gene and Jeline reared four daughters in their home of 43 years in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jeline resumed her studies and graduated BSN from the University of Tulsa in 1974. She was a nursing instructor for 19 years on the faculty at Tulsa Community College and concurrently graduated MS in Education from Oklahoma State University in 1980 and graduated MS in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma in 1986. She retired from Tulsa Community College, Nursing Division in 1994. Jeline was an active member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma for 42 years and of First Presbyterian Church, Topeka, Kansas for seven years. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gene Foltz, a brother, Dr. Norman Jernigan and his wife, Leann, a sister, Jill Godsey and her husband Eddie Godsey, four daughters: the Reverend Leslie Foltz-Morrison and her husband, the Reverend Robert Foltz-Morrison of Westfield, NJ., Claudia Raaberg and her husband Brig. Gen. Douglas Raaberg, USAF, of Whiteman AFB, MO; Gretchen Massol and her husband, Dr. Jean-Pierre Massol of Albi, France; and Rozlyn Glasheen and her husband Joe Glasheen of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and ten grandchildren. She was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at the First Presbyterian Church. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Shawnee Center Cemetery near Wakarusa, Kansas. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, Topeka, KS. is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be sent to Tulsa Community College, Nursing Division or to Midland Hospice Care in care of Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 S.W. 10th Ave., Topeka, KS. 66604.
