Donna Marion Ragsdale, a cherished soul born on May 1, 1929, in Topeka, Kansas, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, in Enterprise, Kansas. Donna lived a vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and unyielding spirit.
At the young age of 17, she embarked on a beautiful journey when she married Hilton Leroy Ragsdale on June 16, 1946, in their hometown of Topeka. Their bond served as a testament to enduring love, a love that remained steadfast until Hilton’s passing. Though he left this world before her, the memories they created together have become threads woven into the fabric of her family’s legacy.
Donna was a proud member of First Lutheran Church, where she connected with her community and found solace in her faith. She embraced life passionately, showing an adventurous side as an avid gambler who found joy in the thrill of the casino. Her warmth and generous spirit extended beyond her own pleasures; she also indulged in online and TV shopping, always scouting for the next great find to share with her loved ones.
She devoted her life to her family, nurturing them with boundless love and kindness. Donna will be deeply missed by her surviving children: Daughters Eve Williams, Patricia Turner, and Carol (Bill) Ashwill; Son Donald Ragsdale; and Daughter-in-law Linda Ragsdale. She was blessed with numerous beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought light and laughter into her life.
While her father, John Daily, her mother, Dale Anna Daily, and her son, David Ragsdale, and sister, Jean Trout have predeceased her, their love undoubtedly continues to guide her in spirit.
Donna Marion Ragsdale’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of love, family, and the simple joys that made each day worth living. As we remember her, we celebrate a remarkable woman whose legacy of love and camaraderie will endure through all whose lives she touched.
A private graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. In her honor, memorial contributions can be made to the Abilene Animal Hospital in care of their pet adoption fund, 320 NE 14th St, Abilene, KS 67410.
