Donna R. Van Dyke, 67, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015.
She was born April 24, 1948, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Thomas and Helen (Garbe) Parker. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1966 and Washburn University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
Donna was employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield for 35 years, retiring in 2005. She enjoyed reading, cooking and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
On June 7, 1970 she married Michael C. Van Dyke in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, Michael C. (Tory) Van Dyke, II, Topeka and Nathan T. (Ellen) Van Dyke, Olathe; two sisters, Lea (Jerry) Gerard, Topeka and Vicki (Brian) Boutwell, Wichita and seven grandchildren, Audrey, Marshall, Lizzie, Emma, James, Kyler and Stephanie.
Funeral services will be 1pm, Tuesday, May 26 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday at the funeral home from 6-8 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
