She was born in Chandler Oklahoma to Frank and Maizie (McCoy) O'Neil. Donna graduated from Enid High School in Enid, Oklahoma in 1954. In her childhood she traveled the country and attended many schools including Honolulu, El Paso, and Billings, Montana. She met her future husband, William A. Langdon at Washburn University as a freshman in 1955, where Donna was also a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Donna graduated from Washburn University with a major in History in 1974.

Donna married Dr. William A. Langdon of Washburn University on December 24, 1956 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on September 21, 2004. Survivors include four children, Kelly Woods (William), St. Louis, Mo., Michele Heydon (Gary), Tim Langdon (Monika Jayne) and Matthew Langdon (Ellarie), all of Topeka; seven grandchildren, Angela Woods Rowley (Tony), Stephanie Woods, Ryan Woods, Shelby Heydon, Sophia Heydon, Brenna Langdon and Ellise Langdon; one great grandson, Logan Woods; a sister, Genevra Boucher, Parkville, MO; and a brother, Michael O'Neil, Iowa.

She was primarily a homemaker. During her working career, Donna served as a draftsman for several mapping companies. She was also the director of the USO in Topeka during the early 1970's, and served as the director of The International House for Washburn University. She was active in Washburn Faculty Wives.

Donna enjoyed books, history, animals of all kinds, especially cats and current events. She was a leader, civic minded and was active in campaigns. She volunteered for the March of Dimes and PTA.

A graveside ceremony will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Spring Grove Cemetery, Valley Falls, KS. Donna will lie in state after 3 p.m., Wednesday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to Topeka Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St, Topeka, KS 66604 and the Cat Association, 1719 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66604.
