Donna L. (Dolezilek) Koerner, a lifelong resident of Topeka, Kansas passed from this Earth on June 12, 2020 at the age of 86.
Donna was born in Topeka on June 28, 1933 to Hubert and Grace Dolezilek. She graduated from Topeka High School in the class of 1951.
On April 27, 1952 she married her sweetheart, Harry Koerner. Donna was a homemaker and an accomplished seamstress. They had two children, Debra and Terry. They were the focus of much of her life. She also loved taking care of (and spoiling) her five grandchildren; she was always available when asked. She was an active member of Topeka First Assembly of God and participated in many church activities throughout her life.
Donna is survived by her husband of 68 years, Harry Koerner of Topeka; her children, Debbie Metzler (Dave) of Lenexa, Kansas and Terry Koerner of Ellisville, Missouri; her grandchildren, Jared Metzler (Gardner, Kansas), Nate Koerner (Ellisville, Missouri), Lauren Metzler (Independence, Missouri), Alyssa Koerner (Pyeongtaek, South Korea) and Madeline Koerner (Chico, California); and one great-grandchild, Noah.
Funeral services will bet at 10:00AM, June 16, 2020 at Mount Hope Chapel, 4700 SW 17th, Topeka. Reverend Mike Swendson will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka First Assembly of God in care of Penwell-Gabel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66604.
