Donna Jean Petrie, 83, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Clare Bridge, Topeka.
Donna was born July 19, 1930, in Meriden, Kansas, the daughter of Bank and Hazel (Birt) Haun.
Donna married William "Bill" Petrie on October 23, 1953, in Topeka. They were owners of the Sewing Nook in Topeka, for over 20 years, retiring in 1985.
Donna was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Brenda (Roger) Sage, Maple Hill, Linda Reaser, Topeka; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill.
The family would like to thank the staff of Clare Bridge and Midland Care Connection for the wonderful care they gave to Donna.
Donna will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th, Topeka, after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, and visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. An Eastern Star Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, by the Helena Chapter of the Eastern Star.
Private family graveside services will be at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka.
