Donna D. Allen, 78, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 in Topeka. She was born on November 11, 1928 in Lebanon, KS, the daughter of Boyd and Cora Hodges Carpenter. She graduated from Lebanon High School. She resided briefly in Lincoln and Omaha, NE and Wichita before moving to Topeka in 1965. She established Donna Allen's Keyboard Center in Topeka which is still in operation under the ownership of her long time friend and business associate Stephen Ramer and his family. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother, Mary, and her sister, Janice. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topeka West Rotary Club, the NAMM Association, the Helen Hocker Performing Arts Center Advisory Board, Topeka Beautification Association and the Latch Keyboard Project. Donna was supportive of the performing arts community through her generosity as a business woman. Survivors include her loving cousins, dear friends and many customers. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church. Graveside committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Highland Cemetery in Winfield, KS. Donna will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening.
